The need didn’t come from a system failure. In fact, most processes were functioning as expected at a local level. But as volumes increased and more teams began interacting with the same datasets, inconsistencies started to show up, especially in material and vendor records. Some of these were tiny enough to be unnoticed at first but as time passed, they started to affect planning accuracy.
Instead of pushing for immediate automation of all data processing the initial phase is focused on understanding how users interact with SAP in their day-to-day. This is where Precisely Automate Studio Manager is being introduced more selectively, particularly in areas where repetitive data entry or validation issues are more visible. There have also been some practical adjustments along the way. Certain manual validation steps are being retained during the early phases, not because automation isn’t available, but because teams need time to build confidence in the new process. This overlap is temporary but necessary.
