Regulated businesses do not get to treat system changes casually. Every configuration decision carries a documentation obligation, and the people who will eventually audit that documentation are not interested in whether the project was running behind. A UAE-based financial services firm has engaged Accely for an AI-enabled SAP consulting services, covering finance, procurement and reporting, with ongoing support built into the same engagement.

Combining both was deliberate on the client’s part. They had watched peer organisations hand over to a separate support vendor at go-live and spend the next six months explaining decisions to people who had not been in the room when those decisions were made.

The implementation scope centres on finance. Regulatory reporting requirements in UAE financial services are specific and they change, so the configuration needed to accommodate reporting formats that may not look the same in two years. Accely’s design work accounted for that rather than hardcoding against current requirements.

Procurement came second in priority but produced more debate. The firm’s existing approval matrix had grown organically and nobody could fully explain why certain thresholds sat where they did. Mapping it properly meant some uncomfortable conversations about controls that existed mainly out of habit.

Data migration is running in parallel. Legacy records with inconsistent counterparty naming, which matters more in financial services than most sectors.

The support arrangement starts at go-live rather than after hypercare ends. AI-assisted SAP AMS support means monitoring is calibrated to this client’s transaction patterns from the first day of live running, not configured generically and tuned later.

Accely was selected as SAP technology partner on the strength of regulated-sector delivery in the region. For a financial services firm, that experience was not a preference.
