Manufacturing in the UAE means dealing with more compliance documentation than most people outside the finance function realise. VAT filings, e-invoice submissions, customs documentation on both import and export, and increasingly specific expectations from the Federal Tax Authority about format and timeliness. A UAE-based manufacturer looked at how they were handling all of that and concluded it would not scale. They engaged Accely for the SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) implementation.<\/p>\n

Several document types turned out to be prepared manually outside SAP entirely, using data exported from the system and then reworked.<\/p>\n

For a manufacturer, the customs documentation piece has direct operational weight. Raw material imports held at clearance because paperwork was not right does not stay a finance problem for long. It becomes a production problem within days.<\/p>\n

Phase one covers VAT and e-invoicing. Customs and export documentation follows once the core framework is proven and the master data cleanup running alongside is complete.<\/p>\n
